Pierce the Veil, a high energy post-hardcore band, will be making a stop in Charlotte on July 22as part of the Warped Tour, with a promise to deliver.
Pierce the Veil’s sophomore album ‘Selfish Machines’ which dropped June 21, debuted on Billboard‘s “Heatseekers” chart at #1. This long awaited album was inspired by on the road experiences.
“The whole pay off has been when people started singing [the songs],” said lead singer VicFuentes. “It is a big relief for us because it took such a long time.”
The record was written as a touring album, which makes it more relatable when being played live. “All the past touring we did inspired the album,” said Fuentes. The group wrote some
slower songs and accompanied the album with sing along parts which help to key up a live audience.
Pierce the Veil, along with releasing a sophomore album are returning a second time to the Warped Tour roster. Besides having an in with the production crew, “it’s a lot more fun this time,” Fuentes boasted. “We knew what we were getting into…we know the ropes.”
Being even more in their element a second time around Pierce the Veil promises to deliver an unforgettable show. “We put a lot of time into it actually creating the set and making something entertaining and memorable,” said Fuentes. Not only do they put a lot of effort into their shows but Pierce the Veil is known for throwing in some interesting covers by artists such as Beyonce and Drake.
Warped Tour is an experience Peirce the Veil is thrilled to be a part of again. “There are a lot of bands we grew up listening to that are on the tour..it’s been crazy,” said Fuentes. “It’s cool to meet the people you’ve looked up to.”
While Pierce the Veil is enjoying their time on the road the one thing in Charlotte, N.C. they were looking forward to the most, Cookout.
