What do pears, apples, cucumbers, squash and grapes all have in common, besides the fact that they are all fruits? They can all be classified as different body types that require different clothes in order to reveal their exquisiteness.  Some people may have no problem figuring out how to dress their bodacious bods, but for others, this is a very large dilemma. So for all of you helpless victims of back fat rolls and saddlebag hips, here’s a go-to guide for dressing up your body:

PEARS

Accentuate: long slender neck, defined calves, feminine waist and slim shoulders.

Problem Areas:  small bust, large hips and full thighs.

What to Wear: square necklines, A-line skirts, tailored tops, boot cut or wide leg jeans, bright colors on top and neutral colors on bottom.

What Not to Wear: tightly draped fabric (especially over hip area), skinny jeans, hip length jackets or bags, bold prints or colors on bottom half and pencil skirts.

Celebrity Examples:  Beyoncé, Tyra Banks, Christina Aguilera, J-Lo.

APPLES

Accentuate: large bust, narrow hips and shapely legs.

Problem Areas: large belly, wide rib cage and full back.

What to Wear: V-neckline shirts, bags that fall at hip level, longer style shirts or tunics, shorter skirts or shorts and hip accenting clothes.

What Not to Wear: fitted shirts, wide belts, full skirts, back revealing tops and tube tops.

Celebrity Examples: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Drew Barrymore, Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse (before certain appetite suppressants).

CUCUMBERS

Accentuate: model-esque body type, long lean legs.

Problem Areas:  flat butt, small bust, undefined waist.

What to Wear:  loose mid-section dresses, v-neck shirts, long jackets, skinny jeans, short skirts and drop waist frocks.

What Not to Wear:  high-waist belts and any clothing that has gathered fabric at the waist.

Celebrity Examples:  Gisele, Cameron Diaz, Melanie C., Heidi Klum.

SQUASH

Accentuate:  defined waist, voluptuous bust and shapely booty and well-formed legs.

Problem Areas: not many except for the fact that excess weight gain can cause a well-proportion butternut squash to turn into a big old acorn squash.

What to Wear: body hugging (semi-fitted not too tight) dresses, pencil skirts, high-waist belts, wrap tops and a good pair of jeans to show off those curves.

What Not to Wear: very baggy tops and anything too tight that it becomes unattractive.

Celebrity Example: Scarlett Johansson, Kim Kardashian, Sophia Loren, Dita Von Tesse.

GRAPES

Accentuate:  narrow hips, shapely legs, medium to large bust.

Problem Areas:  broad back and shoulders, undefined waist.

What to Wear: boot cut pants, short shirts or shorts, long raglan-sleeved shirts.

What Not to Wear:  high waist belt, tube top, back-baring top, puffy sleeves, wide legged pants.

Celebrity Examples:  Naomi Cambell, Dolly Parton, Jessica Biel, Sharron Davis.

Follow this dressing guide and you will be on your way to A-list dressing and saying goodbye to those muffin tops and armpit bulges forever.
