Phone calls have poured into the Mount Holly police department since last week, with people doing everything in their power to help catch the killer of Ira Yarmolenko.

UNC Charlotte or University of Charlotte, which sounds better? All UNCC students will have their chance to vote on the name change in November of this year. If the name does change from UNC Charlotte to University of Charlotte, there could be many changes in store for the faculty and students of UNCC.

UNCC's current e-mailing system, Microsoft Outlook, has a few quirks that the students and some faculty tend to complain about often.

Could there be a change in the not-so-distant future? The answer to the question of a new e-mail system could be coming to UNCC as soon as the end of June.

Talk shows, tabloids, the blogosphere and the rest of my fellow gossip-inclined Americans love a Hollywood feud. People can not get enough, whether it be Britney and K-Fed, Paris and yesterday's B.F.F., or simply Naomi Campbell and any unfortunate soul in her path.

With the approaching election, practically every commercial break has at least one campaign ad running. In North Carolina some of the most prominent ads feature Richard Moore and Beverly Perdue as they vie for the governorship.

At one point, all the ads featured recriminations about the candidates' voting records.

Nine years

Nine years? Does that sound like a long time to you? I guess that question can only be answered when you know what is either lasting nine years or what is taking up nine years of your time.

What if I then tell you that the average American spends enough hours in front of the television over a life time adding up to a consecutive nine years? Now, is that a long time?

According to A.

Countless celebrities have lent their face to at least one charitable cause over the years. Although, more often than not, instead of being a genuine attempt to raise awareness on the issue, the celebrity's involvement come across as feeble attempts to grab the spotlight.
