UNC Charlotte's campus was in uproar, and a bit louder than usual Thursday morning as students came together to protest the war in Iraq. "War. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!" could be heard ringing throughout campus as many student organizations came together to take part in this peaceful protest, which began outside of Martin Village and proceeded to the Belk Tower.
While there's over a month left before the rest of North Carolina can vote, polls open Tuesday on the UNC Charlotte campus for student elections. Front and center in this week's election is the race for Student Body President. There are also eighteen positions open in the Student Senate.
